FIELD: pharmaceutical industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a polyol composition used for production of tablets. Composition is prepared by combined spraying drying or combined granulation in the fluidized layer. Composition consists of at least two polyols and, possibly, one binding agent. Composition has at least one nonhygroscopic polyol taken in the amount above 80 wt.-% of total polyol content. Nonhygroscopic polyol is taken among the group including mannitol, lactite, isomaltite, xylitol and erythritol. Polyol composition shows the more low hygroscopicity as compared with that of sorbitol and provides high hardness of tablets and pressed articles and smooth surface.
