FIELD: palladium-golden catalyst for production of vinyl acetate from ethylene, acetic acid and oxygen. SUBSTANCE: method consists in impregnation of porous carrier with aqueous solution of water-soluble potassium-gold compound followed by settling of water-soluble compound of palladium and gold on surface of carrier by means of basic potassium salt and reduction of palladium and gold to metals. Invention contains description of versions of realization of proposed method and catalytic composition. Reagents used for preparation of catalyst are just compounds of potassium salts which are essentially free from sodium. EFFECT: enhanced selectivity relative to carbon dioxide in production of vinyl acetate by least 9%. 14 cl, 1 tbl, 10 ex
