FIELD: hydraulic choppers, applicable for cleavage of cut logs of different diameter. SUBSTANCE: the hydraulic chopper has a sorting device made in the form of a gravity hump with accumulators. The charging trough in section has the shape of an isosceles trapezoid, whose smaller base faces downwards, and is divided into sections by flanges with slit-like slots. The lower flange is designed for cut logs of the minimum diameter, the middle flange-for cut logs of the medium diameter, the upper one - for cut lugs of the maximum diameter. Mounted on the frame are the vertical wedge, horizontal and inclined wedges. The vertical wedge has the shape with a step pitch equal to 0.04-0.05 of the cut log length. At a movement of the cut logs by the pusher first the lower step of the vertical wedge is engaged cleaving the cut log of the minimum diameter, then the second step of the vertical wedge, and the horizontal wedges come in engagement with the cut log of the medium diameter. The cut log of the maximum diameter is the last to be cleaved into six parts by the upper step of the vertical wedge and by the inclined wedges. EFFECT: enhanced capacity of the hydraulic chopper due to simultaneous cleavage of several cut logs with minimum power consumption. 2 cl, 3 dwg
