FIELD: lifts. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of leveling lift car relative to landing. Proposed method comes to successive reception and processing of signals from two transmitters located at definite distance from each other or detection of magnet by two transmitters located at definite distance from each other when lift car moves in lift well. Leveling speed is determined and lift car braking time is set depending on which leveling up time is adjusted. In proposed device transmitters are installed at preset distance from each other to provide supply of signals when coded information carrier is detected. Timer is coupled with transmitters to determine time interval between first and second signals. Processor is coupled with said transmitters and timer. Processor serves to determine speed of lift car leveling and to control time taken by leveling depending on leveling speed and preset braking time.
