FIELD: methods of treatment of silicon steel, particularly, methods of transformation of strip from silicon steel with oriented granular structure. SUBSTANCE: produced in hot-rolled strip is initial controlled amount of liberated substances (sulfides and aluminum in the form of its nitride) in the form of fine and uniformly distributed liberated substances suitable for regulation of grain size in process of decarbonization annealing:regulation of subsequent secondary recrystallization is effected by addition of primary liberated substances of additional aluminum in the form of nitride formed directly during continuous high-temperature treatment. Method of steel treatment for electrical engineering provides for combination of heat treatment of slab with special treatment operations for performance of primary recrystallization and nitriding and makes it possible to regulate distribution, quantity and sizes of liberated phases and to attain uniform distribution of nitrogen during stage of nitriding accompanied by direct reaction of absorbed nitrogen with aluminum.
