FIELD: chemical, oil and refrigerating industries and public utilities. SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for recuperation of air. Proposed pack of plates for heat exchanger has plates provided with projections of surface formed by three-dimensional geometric elements mechanically fastened to one of sides of each plate. These projections are mechanically connected also to other side of plates alternating on both axes of plate. Smooth-surface plates are fitted between plates with projections. According to second design version, back of plates for heat exchanger includes smooth-surface plates separated by grid inserts made of interconnected separate geometric elements in form of ball or cone or pyramid, or cube. EFFECT: enlarged possibilities of use of materials for making of plates, improved manufacturability of plate packs. 3 cl, 6 dwg
