FIELD: analytical methods. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to examination of liquid media in order to estimate their pollution, in particular to toxicological heavy metal control in aqueous solutions. Method is distinguished by that aqueous solution of protein with known molecular mass is added to test solution, after which the total is subjected to laser irradiation. Effective mass of scattering particles in mixture is evaluated using Relay light scattering technique. Difference between found molecular mass and that of pure protein solution is indicative of presence of heavy metal in test solution. EFFECT: facilitated heavy metal detection. 2 dwg
