FIELD: sorbents. SUBSTANCE: high-moor peat is dried, thermally treated in steps: at 120-150 C, 250-300 C, and 340-350 C at no oxygen access in sealed container and the cooled to 50-100 C. Released gas phase is cooled and condensate and non-condensed gas are separately collected. The latter is returned into container to cool peat and compensate pressure in the container.
