SUBSTANCE: invention provides ammonia oxidation process wherein ammonia and air are brought into reaction in presence of oxidation catalyst containing cerium, lanthanum, and cobalt oxides, cobalt and cerium oxides being present in such proportions as to ensure (Cr+La)/Co atomic ratio within a range of 0.8 to 1.2.
