Respective pumping cylinder has one inlet opening and several outlet openings distributed over cylinder wall. Respective lubrication point is selected in accordance with alignment of control channel with either of outlet openings. So, pumping cylinder also serves as distributing device. Apparatus and method are adapted for lubricating several lubrication points on knitting machines. EFFECT: increased efficiency, reduced dimensions and weight. 43 cl, 10 dwg
