FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: device contains thread feed wheel made of ceramics or coated with corresponding material. Owing to choice of material and/or shape of wheel, said thread feed wheel features improved quality in long operation. Shape of wheel and/or its material are resistant to wear. This is provided by ceramic surfaces and/or combination of conical noninterrupted surface of thread entry with adjacent strip support surfaces in zone of accumulation of thread and continuous, i.e. noninterrupted surface in zone of thread outlet. Surfaces are made so as to provide sliding of thread on its way from entry zone to outlet zone along corresponding surfaces in axial direction. Strip support or adjoining of thread in zone of thread accumulation is provided by shape of thread feed wheel in zone of thread accumulation. There is no necessity of holes or cuts in thread feed wheel, but they can be provided. EFFECT: improved quality of device operating for a long time. 13 cl, 17 dwg
