FIELD: measurement technology, visualization of profiles of three-dimensional objects. SUBSTANCE: procedure consists in multiple formation of sounding structurized illumination of surface of tested object by illumination of surface of tested object by beam of optical radiation spatially modulated in intensity at various angles, in recording of image of distorted surface of tested object and structure of sounding illumination by way of summation of these images and in determination of height of relief of surface of tested object by degree of distortion of structure of sounding surface and of two other coordinates by position of distortion of structure of illumination in recorded image by means of digital electron calculator. Modulation of intensity is so controlled by single coordinate so that structurized illumination in the form of aperiodic system of stripes is formed on surface of tested object.
