FIELD: wood and woodworking industries. SUBSTANCE: plates of chain bar are secured to each other by two transverse welds located on opposite ends of chain blade and made in the form of separate welded points adjacent to each other or spaced in lateral direction at a distance of not more 1 cm. Such location of welded points forming welds makes it possible to realize principle of structure full-strength: during bending of chain bar, stresses are distributed uniformly over entire central part with no concentration of stresses usually created by separately located welded points. EFFECT: considerable increase of chain bar strength allowing its use in trees felling. 2 cl, 4 dwg
