SUBSTANCE: invention relates to derivatives of benzo[b]thiophenic acid of the formula (I) and method of their synthesis which are used as parent compounds for medicinal agents preparing. Invention relates to also a method of synthesis of derivatives of 5-hydroxybenzo[b]thiophene-3-carboxylic acid of the formula (VI) which are specific antagonists of PGD₂ using the above indicated derivatives of the formula (I). Compounds of the formula (VI) can be useful as a medicinal substance for treatment of systemic mastocytosis, asthma and urticaria.
