FIELD: wind-power engineering; designing and manufacturing wind-wheel-electric generating plants. SUBSTANCE: high-speed windwheel with its hub fitted onto generator shaft has its blades cut from thin sheet material such as aluminum alloy with chord reduced from blade base to its top and with chord torsion angle accordingly reduced relative to plane of windwheel revolution; for the purpose use is made of blank in the form of cylinder segments with straight-line edge approximately equal in length to blade and with chord equal to that of blade at base. Front edge of each blade is cut over curvilinear generating line and rear edge is aligned with straight-line edge of blank. Blank radius , curvilinear generating line, and initial chord torsion angle at base of blade when the latter is mounted on hub are set proceeding from requirement to ensure high aerodynamic properties at every section of blade over windwheel radius.
