FIELD: analytical instrumentation engineering, design of electron-trapping detector. SUBSTANCE: ionization detector has two chambers, one being vacuum-treated and housing non-radioactive source of electrons connected to voltage source. Second chamber houses collector and polarization electrodes and is fitted with branch pipe to supply and discharge analyzed gas. Chambers come in the form of separate gas-tight chambers, each one having window transparent for ionizing radiation. Chambers are set in opposition so that outlet window of first chamber is located opposite to inlet window of second chamber and they jointly form window transparent for ionizing radiation with energy 1.0- 100.0 keV. Air gap can be arranged between windows. EFFECT: raised adaptability to manufacture thanks to simplified assembly of elements of detector with provision for their reliable sealing. 4 cl, 2 dwg
