FIELD: chemical- metallurgical production of platinum metals, particularly, production of powder of palladium reduced from middlings of platinum metals production in form of palladium sponge. SUBSTANCE: method consists in that heating of oxidized ground palladium sponge in process of reduction and cooling of reduced product are carried out in current of ammonia-nitrogen gas mixture at heating temperature of 200-500 C and cooling temperature of 150-50 C.
