FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of antifriction aluminium-base alloys and can be used for production of bearings. Aluminium-base alloy comprises the following components, wt.%: lead, 1.5-3.5; tin, 9.0-12.0; copper, 0.5-1.2; zinc, 0.2-0.5; silicon, 0.7-1.5; titanium, 0.01-0.2; aluminium, the balance. Alloy shows a structure comprising a matrix based on supersaturated aluminium solid solution with inclusions of silicon solid particles, CuAl2 and inclusions of soften tin-lead phases based on a solid solution with alternate composition and soften phases as low-melting eutectics with melting point below 170 C. Alloy can comprise additionally 0.01-0.1 wt. % of bismuth and/or 0.005-0.05 wt.% of lithium. Method of making bimetallic blank involves smelting of antifriction alloy, its thermic treatment at 340-360 C for 3-4 h being not later 6 h after alloy smelting, rolling for two stages with deformation degree 48-54% on the first stage for one run for cladding with aluminium and 85-90% on the second stage for 5-6 runs for making a band, preparing the obtained band of antifriction alloy and steel band for the combined deformation, their combined deformation for preparing bimetallic blank and final blank annealing at 340-360 C for 3-4 h.
