FIELD: metallurgy; aluminum-based anti-friction alloys; manufacture of bearings.

SUBSTANCE: proposed alloy contains the following components, mass-%: lead, 1.5-3.5; tin, 9.0-12.0; copper, 1.5-4.0; nickel, 0.5-2.0; bismuth, 0.1-0.3; zinc, 0.1-0.5; silicon, 0.4-1.5; titanium, 0.01-0.2; the remainder being aluminum. Proposed method consists in melting the anti-friction alloy followed by heat treatment at 340-360°C for 3-4 h not later than 4 hours after melting the alloy. Subsequent rolling is carried out at three stages; degree of deformation at first stage ensures cladding of blank with aluminum. Second stage is carried out immediately after first one; between second and third stages, blank is subjected to annealing at temperature of 340-360°C continued for an hour. Aluminum-cladded strip made from anti-friction alloy is subjected to joint deformation with steel strip. Final annealing of blank is carried out at temperature of 340-360°C for 3-4 h.

EFFECT: enhanced fatigue strength and resistance to scores.
