FIELD: device used for application of coats in vacuum; application of protective, strengthening and decorative coats on inner surfaces of articles. SUBSTANCE: electric arc metal evaporator includes vacuum chamber with anode where electric arc discharge cathode is located; it is made in form of cylinder; part to be treated in placed in chamber; evaporator is also provided with control unit equipped with programmer and DC source, coil with two solenoids; control unit is provided with adjustable current source, feedback unit and delay unit; non-magnetic cathode is made in form of cylinder with extended coil having two solenoids located inside it; solenoids are electrically connected with outputs of adjustable current source and second DC source; non-magnetic anode is made in form of plates located on base of chamber over circumference along cathode in accordance with its length. EFFECT: possibility of application of coat of smooth thickness on inner surfaces of bodies of revolution both open and closed at one side. 2 dwg
