FIELD: microwave equipment. SUBSTANCE: device has pulse voltage generator, which is connected to cathode electrode and anode electrode, which is insulated from cathode electrode. They are located in solenoid magnetic field. Anode electrode is designed as serial circuit of modulation compartment, which is designed as waveguide, which embraces cathode electrode and generation compartment of virtual cathode and is extended to output horn with radiation output window. Goal of invention is achieved by design of modulation compartment, which has serial circuit of grid or foil diaphragms, which are mounted lateral movement with controlled space from waveguide walls. Invention discloses device design in which waveguide of modulation compartment is rectangular, and previous and next diaphragms in sequence are spaced with respect to opposite walls of waveguide.
