FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanisms converting movement of pistons used in internal combustion engines. Proposed engine has crank-and-connecting rod mechanism with multiple-cam longitudinal shaft. Three cams are installed opposite to each cylinder, including one power crank cam located in the middle and coupled with piston through connecting rod, and two other functional cams, each coupled with piston by means of tappet with outer compression spring and L-shaped slider rigidly mounted on beam of lever mechanism. Radial steps of functional cams are displaced through 90° relative to crank cam to side opposite to direction of shaft rotation. EFFECT: improved efficiency of engine. 4 dwg
