FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly to piston ICE production and operation. ICE consists of sleeve assembly, cylinder head with combustion chamber, valve gear, mixing system fuel feed system, lubrication and cooling systems, rods (1) and lengthwise multi-cam shaft (8). Rod upper head are jointed with pistons pins. One central can (5) and two functional cams (9) are arranged opposite every cylinder. The former is coupled with the piston via rod (1). Rod side surface is permanently pressed against the surface of central cam (7). Functional cams (9) interact wit piston via L-like slide (11) rigidly fixed on rod (1). Central cam has rectangular channel (4) made along its generating lines. Lengthwise axis of rectangular slot crosses the radius of central cam (4). Rod (1) features rectangular ledge (3) and circular ledge (2). Rectangular slot (4) interacts with rectangular ledge (3). Width of rectangular ledge (3) is 1 mm smaller than that of rectangular slot (4). Functional cams have radial ledge (10) displaced by 90° from the axis of slot (4) towards the side opposite the shaft rotation. When rectangular ledge (3) gets aligned with rectangular slot (4), there is no direct contact between working surfaces of functional cams (9) and L-like slide (10). When lower edges of rectangular slot (4) meet those of rectangular ledge (3), working stroke occurs. When upper edges of rectangular slot contact those of rectangular ledge (3), suction occurs. Circular rectangular ledge (2) can contact the set of plate springs rigidly fixed on ICE housing.

EFFECT: simple design, higher reliability and torque.
