FIELD: tightness tests. SUBSTANCE: method consists in placing the article under test in hermetic chamber from which air is evacuated. Article is filled with test agent under test pressure and is kept for definite period of time; untightness is found through comparison of concentration of test agent accumulated in chamber with standard magnitude. Effect of adsorption of molecules of test agent on inner surfaces of chamber and reference reservoir are estimated preliminarily; calculations of untightness are made according to relationship contained in Invention.
