FIELD: plasma and laser engineering; injecting plasma currents in fusion traps. SUBSTANCE: method involves gas admission to plasma formation area, gas ionization, current inducing in plasma by varying external magnetic field crossing the plasma, and plasma acceleration by using external magnetic field. Currents are induced by varying magnitude of magnetic field or reversing it. Plasma is accelerated upon its holding in formation area all the time during current inducing. EFFECT: improved effectiveness of plasma currents due to reducing loss and increasing energy of accelerated particles. 3 cl, 4 dwg
