APPARATUS FOR MILKING AND CONTROLLING OF FIRST MILK STREAMS BEFORE MILKING OPERATION Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: veterinary obstetrics. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has drain vessel (bottle) communicating through opening with plate-shaped platform and scraper mounted on plate-shaped platform for rotation over its surface and discharging of milk and casein coagulum into drain vessel. Bottle of apparatus is to be held by hand so that index finger is on scraper projection. First 2-3 milk streams are milked from cow udder primary part. Upon examining, milk is swept by scraper toward slit between platform edge and vertical rim. Scraper is moved by index finger and, after discharge of milk into drain vessel, finger pressure force is relaxed. Apparatus is used in machine milking and is adapted for visual detection of changes in cow milk before putting teat cups on udder teats.
