FIELD: machine engineering, namely abrasive treatment of surfaces of machine parts. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of imparting rotation to part and providing its contact with surface of tool at successively moving it towards abrasive material; using tool in the form of abrasive placed in lubricating and cooling technological fluid; before treatment realizing conversion of lubricating and cooling fluid to solid state for receiving tool whose shape and dimensions correspond to reciprocal shape and dimensions of part; centering tool relative to part; changing rigidity of abrasive fastening by heating lubricating and cooling fluid for conversion of it to liquid state. EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities of method due to providing preliminary dimensional working of part and polishing it. 2 dwg
