FIELD: machine engineering, namely polishing surfaces of openings of machine parts. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of lengthwise feed of part and rotating tool; using tool in the form of discs mounted on mandrel and inclined relative to rotation axis; using discs with diameter corresponding to nominal diameter of opening made of abrasive cloth with different size of abrasive grains impregnated with bakelite vanish; placing between discs with possibility of rigid contact with them insert-discs with less diameter having ducts for technological cutting fluid. Discs and insert-discs are mounted on mandrel according to order of successive reduction of abrasive grain size; supplying cutting fluid to zone of contact of each disc with part due to creation of centrifugal force at tool rotation. It enhances effect provided by cutting fluid and simplifies removal of waste material at working process. EFFECT: enhanced quality of polished surfaces of openings. 2 dwg
