FIELD: machine engineering, namely processes for polishing surfaces of openings of machine parts. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of filling closed cavity of part opening with lubricating and cooling technological fluid; providing lengthwise feed of part; polishing surface by means of discs mounted onto mandrel and inclined relative to rotation axis; using discs with radial cutouts made of abrasive cloth with different characteristics; impregnating discs of large-grain abrasive matter with bakelite varnish and impregnating discs of small-grain abrasive matter with lubricating and cooling technological fluid; mounting discs onto mandrel according to lowered grain size of their abrasive matter and to their rigidity value; using energy of mutual motion of discs and part, pressing out lubricating and cooling fluid to working zone in order to simplify cutting process and to remove waste material, particularly through cutouts of discs.
