FIELD: machine engineering, namely processes for polishing surfaces of openings of machine parts. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of providing lengthwise feed of part; working it by means of discs mounted onto mandrel and inclined relative to rotation axis; using discs having diameter corresponding to nominal diameter of openings, made of abrasive cloth with different grain size of abrasive matter and impregnated with bakelite varnish; placing between discs with possibility of close contact discs-inserts including lubricating and cooling technological medium with different viscosity degree; using discs-inserts with diameters exceeding maximum diameter of part opening; mounting discs and discs-inserts onto mandrel according to successively lowered grain size of their abrasive matter and to viscosity of technological fluid. It enhances conditions of contact of mutually engaged surfaces due to supplying lubricating and cooling technological fluid to polishing zone. EFFECT: enhanced quality of polished surfaces. 1 dwg
