FIELD: devices for activation of gas media by high-voltage electric discharge. SUBSTANCE: discharge device has metal electrodes made in form of special combs with interpenetrating flat removable teeth which are alternating with same interval from one another to form row of discharge gaps. Teeth are made from current- conducting foil placed between sapphire plates of same shape. Foil is displaced relative to sapphire plates toward comb base through distance equaling 1-1.5 values of discharge gap between teeth. Foil edges are overlapped with sapphire plate for width exceeding same discharge gap by a factor of 2.5-3. Discharge gap exceeds teeth thickness by 3.5-5 times. Combs bases are connected with generator of high voltage different pole pulses.
