FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed ozonizer has AC supply source and electrode system including two flat electrodes made in form of metal screen with fine meshes which are separated by narrow discharge gap through which oxygen-containing gas is passed and solid dielectric layer; it is connected to AC supply source outputs. Solid dielectric layer is made in form of screen and is used as gasket between flat electrodes whose thickness defines size of discharge gap. Electrode system is oriented in space perpendicularly relative to flow of oxygen-containing gas. AC supply source is made in form of AC generator generating pulses of different polarities at shape close to rectangular.
EFFECT: reduced power requirements.
