FIELD: mechanical engineering; compression ignition internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed engine is furnished with insert, and hole for nozzle is made in auxiliary piston. Insert and piston form together two oil spaces. Spring is installed in lower space, and upper space communicates with engine lubrication system. Spaces communicate through direct-flow and check valves forming together auxiliary piston displacement hydraulic control system to control displacement of piston depending on gas pressure in engine cylinder. EFFECT: increased efficiency of working process and reduced loads on crank and connecting rod mechanism parts by changing compression ratio depending on operating conditions, improved starting conditions. 1 dwg
