FIELD: apiculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves directing bee feed pellets through three processing zones: protective covering application zone, excessive protective covering removal zone and protective covering hardening zone, where hardening is effectuated without contact with working devices. Apparatus has chamber, bath made from low-conductivity material and positioned within chamber, heating members, feeding and discharge conveyors. Two annular beads on bath inner surface are adapted for dividing bath into processing zones. U-shaped slot is made in lower part of bath at side adjacent to discharge conveyor. Heating members are positioned within bath in protective covering application zone and excessive covering removal zone. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of covering. 3 cl, 1 dwg
