FIELD: spacing apart fuel elements in nuclear reactor fuel assembly. SUBSTANCE: hexagonal-cell field is manufactured from single sheet so that bends at shaped cells on one row of cells are disposed on one end of spacer grid and those on parallel row of cells abutting against the former are located on other end of spacer grid. Such procedure eliminates welding cells together due to making them from single sheet thereby providing for wasteless manufacture of cell field and integrating operations of cell manufacture and cell field assembly. EFFECT: enhanced reliability and reduced cost of spacer grid. 6 dwg
