FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves making dopplerographic examination of linear blood circulation rate in the middle meningeal artery when compressing the common carotid artery and determining blood circulation recovery time after compression. Compression is applied for 5-6 s. Evaluation is carried out by calculating discriminant value level D=0.168T + 0.102V2 + 1.116, where T is the time required for achieving initial blood circulation rate recovery, U2 is the mean blood circulation rate in the middle meningeal artery during common carotid artery compression. D>0.728, collateral blood circulation decompensation is to be diagnosed. EFFECT: high accuracy of diagnosis. 3 cl, 7 dwg
