FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises performing continuous monitoring of cerebral and systemic haemodynamics, recording linear blood flow velocity in both middle cerebral arteries and systemic blood pressure for at least 4 minutes, and then evaluating state of cerebral blood flow by means of cross-spectral analysis of said time series. Phase shift is calculated between spontaneous oscillations linear blood velocity and systemic blood pressure in range of Mayer waves. If phase shift is less than 0.5 rad, functionally significant stenoses is determined.

EFFECT: method provides non-invasive, in physiological conditions, assessment of change of cerebral haemodynamics in given pathology.
