FIELD: power engineering; nuclear power plants and the like. SUBSTANCE: coating intended to protect metal components of nuclear power plants operating in water is, essentially, ceramic- structure lithium ferrite film formed by wet preservation with pH of preservation solution corrected to 10. <pH <10.5 level and doped with hydrazine-hydrate and lithium hydroxide. EFFECT: enhanced incubation period of process in absence of caustic embrittlement.
