FIELD: making of corrosion-resistant coats on equipment and articles made from pearlite steels; corrosion protection of various power equipment; mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes treatment in aqueous solution containing 0.01-50 g/l of aluminum nitrate having formula Al(NO3)3-9H2O continued for 1.5-50 h at temperature of 0 to 89 C or 101 to 300 C followed by flushing articles or equipment with aqueous solution of sodium, potassium or ammonium nitrite. EFFECT: improved protective properties of pearlite steels; avoidance of transfer of finely dispersed particles from surface to solution; possibility of performing operations at room temperature. 3 cl, 2 tbl
