FIELD: processes and equipment for corrosion protection of metals, namely for protecting energy producing equipment made (partially or wholly) of pearlitic steels against corrosion.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of introducing oxygen into circuit with aqueous heat transfer agent; before introducing oxygen, oxidizing inner surfaces of equipment for forming oxide coating with thickness more than 0.2 micrometers; after oxidizing, introducing to system sodium or potassium nitrite for providing its concentration 1 - 10 mg/kg; discharging it out of circuit just before setting stable mode of power equipment when temperature begins to rise but not earlier than 5 hours later and simultaneously introducing oxygen into circuit. Invention provides enlarged functional possibilities of neutral-oxygen water operation mode.
EFFECT: improved degree of protection against corrosion, stable passive state of steels.
