FIELD: design of expandable anode intended for use in electrolyzers with diaphragms. SUBSTANCE: anode includes conductive bus in the form of copper core fitted with layer of titanium to which first and second pairs of springy expanders are attached. Welding points of second pair of expanders are placed perpendicular to welding points of first pair of expanders over circumference of conductive bus. Anode surfaces are attached to both pairs of expanders. EFFECT: reduced drop of voltage between conductive bus and surface of anode, prevention of risk of damage to surface of contact between copper core and titanium coat due to excessive temperature tension caused by welding procedure. 4 cl, 4 dwg, 1 tbl
