FIELD: fur manufacture. SUBSTANCE: method consists in retanning fur skins with aqueous composition containing tanner, chloride, and sodium carbonate. Tanner is represented by a preparation based on low-molecular alcohol semiacetals with 10-12 g/l additives. Tanner is used in the beginning of treatment and 2.0-2.5 h later. After retanning fur skin is neutralized and dyed with acid dyes. EFFECT: reduced mass and increased surface of fur skin semifinished product. 2 cl, 2 tbl
