GEAR FOR EXTRACTION OF SAPROPEL Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: extraction of sapropel from closed body of water. SUBSTANCE: gear for extraction of sapropel has craft with suction dredge, winch with pulling element, flexible hose and receptacle in the form of box of U-shaped cross-section formed by two side walls and cover and fitted with suction branch pipe and pontoons of variable buoyancy attached to box. Box is provided with chain shutters arranged over width of box between its side walls and fixed on internal surface of cover, near butt section of box. Each shutter includes at least two rows of round-link chains. Each next row towards side opposite to direction of motion of box is made of chains of lesser linear mass and height of shutter in head part of box is smaller than height of shutter in its tail part. EFFECT: reduced dimensions and usage of metal for manufacture of box thanks to formation of additional hydraulic resistance in zone of sapropel entrapment by arrangement of obstacles in the form of chain screens. 1 dwg
