SUBSTANCE: method for controlling starter-generator built around electromagnet-excited synchronous machine involves introduction of new control variable designed to generate desired setting values of exciting current and stator current vector components in frequency-current control system. Proposed method ensures utmost utilization of overall capacity of electrical machine and installed capacity of power converter switching members.
