FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control systems of stator-generator sets of vehicles powered by internal combustion engines. Operation of said starter-generator control device is based on introduction of new control variable by means of which preset values of field currents and components of vector of stator current in frequency-current control system are formed. Invention provides operation of synchronous electromagnetic excitation machine at minimum losses both, when machine operates as starter and as generator, maximum use of power of electric machine and installed power of switch elements of power converter.
