FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves introducing thin catheter through draining tube to approach the found choledocholith and starting supplying calculus-dissolving medicamentous mixture. The external end of the choledochus drain tube is lifted to 16 cm above the axillary median line to create hydrostatic pressure of 160 mm of water column therein. It is kept in this position until complete evacuation of dissolved calculus remnants into the duodenum takes place. The medicamentous mixture is composed of diethyl ether in sterile olive oil in 1:1 proportion. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment when treating calculi which diameter is equal to or more than 1 cm; avoided adverse side effects like pains and dyspeptic disorders. 2 cl, 1 dwg
