COUNTERCURRENT REACTOR Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

Abstract RU 2189275 C2

FIELD: reactors ensuring reaction of fluid with treating gas in presence of catalyst. SUBSTANCE: reactor has solid wall surrounding the first reaction zone. The first zone has catalyst for conduction of desired reaction of fluid with treating gas; means for fluid introduction located above the first reaction zone for provision of supply into reactor of a part of fluid; means for gas introduction located below the first reaction zone for supply of a part of treating gas to reactor; means for fluid withdrawal located below the first reaction zone to provide for discharge of fluid reacted part; means for gas withdrawal located above the first reaction zone for discharge of a part of reacting gas from reactor; means of gas bypassing in the first reaction zone for bypassing of a part of treating gas. In this case, means of gas bypassing include means of regulation of mount of treating gas for bypassing the first reaction zone. In preferable version of invention realization, several reaction zones are used and plate for fluid distribution above every reaction zone. Means for gas bypassing produces hydrostatic seal with fluid accumulated in distributing plate to automatically regulate time and rate of gas bypassing on the basis of preliminarily determined conditions of flooding to ensure stable and efficient operation of reactor. EFFECT: higher stable and efficient operation. 12 cl, 3 dwg
