FIELD: construction engineering; applicable for protection of metal pipelines from corrosion. SUBSTANCE: method includes heating of pipeline after its cleaning, application of primer and insulating tape to pipeline. Its surface is heated up to temperature equalling dew point and plus 15 C, but not above plus 50 C. Pipeline surface is heated up to plus 30-50 C irrespective of ambient temperature and pipeline temperature in cases when insulating pipe is applied to pipeline located on wet surface of ground or on sections of stress-corrosion risk. EFFECT: increased reliability of pipeline.
