FIELD: air defence, in particular, means for destruction of low- flying missiles. SUBSTANCE: total estrangement areas are developed in the missile danger direction. The mentioned areas are equipped with mortars used for production of a clod of crushed rock fragments on the missile track for disabling its aerodynamic control surfaces and laser homing head. The device for missile destruction has a coned mortar with an aperture angle within 35 to 45 deg. The coned mortar is made for automatic opening of its covers, as well as for its filling with crushed rock granulated to 3-5 cu.cm in the amount of 1000-1500 kg, and installation in it under crushed rock of an obturating wad and a powder charge weighing up to 20 kg. The primer detonator is positioned in the breech of the coned mortar. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of fighting against low-flying missiles. 4 cl, 2 dwg
