FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method and devices for processing intake charges. According to invention ozone of concentration up to 2% by volume is formed directly in engine air manifold in adjustable spark gap at pulse voltage of 3 - 10 kV and frequency of 50-60 Hz. Device for implementing the method consists of pulse voltage source and spark gap placed in air manifold of engine. Ignition coil of 25 - 40 W is controlled by master pulse generator with pulse frequency of 50-60 Hz. Spark gap is arranged in air manifold insert and is provided with device to set gap between electrodes within 1 and 2.5 mm. EFFECT: improved efficiency of combustion of charge at simplified design. 3 cl, 1 dwg
